Police investigate another hit-and-run accident
There has been a rash of hit-and-run accidents in the past month in Mt. Pleasant, the latest occurring Oct. 29 on East Monroe Street, near its intersection with Haynes Street.
According to the police report, a 2012 Ford Focus, owned by Kayla Moorman, Des Moines, was legally parked facing west on Monroe Street.
An unknown vehicle struck the rear end of the Focus and left the scene. Damage to the Focus was estimated...

According to the police report, a 2012 Ford Focus, owned by Kayla Moorman, Des Moines, was legally parked facing west on Monroe Street.
An unknown vehicle struck the rear end of the Focus and left the scene. Damage to the Focus was estimated at $5,000.
