An officer reported being out with a subject wanted out of Washington County. The officer arrested Orbie Carl Brown, 55, on a charge of violation of probation on original charge of operating while intoxicated, second offense. Bond was $2,000 cash only.
Traffic other
A caller Wednesday morning at East Jefferson Street in Washington reported that her vehicle had been hit sometime in the night. An officer responded. The vehicle had minimal damages, and there were no suspects. The incident was documented.
A caller Wednesday night at 250th Street in Washington reported a large red Dually truck was parked partially on the roadway in front of the Community Center. An officer responded and was unable to locate the vehicle.
Disabled vehicles
A deputy reported being out with a disabled vehicle, Wednesday afternoon at Highway 92 and Underwood Avenue in Ainsworth. The subjects had a tow en route for the car.
A deputy reported being out with a disabled vehicle, Wednesday night at Highway 1 and 220th Street.
A deputy reported being out with a black Jeep with no plates parked along the roadway, Wednesday night at Highway 1 in Washington. The officer tagged the vehicle and added it to the system.
Animal complaint
A caller Wednesday night at West Fountain Street in Brighton reported two dog bites. Two officers responded. The dog was a stray brown pitbull. Documentation was made.
Assault
A 911 open line was received of subjects yelling at each other, and then the call was disconnected, early Thursday morning at 335th Street in Brighton. Upon callback, both the male and the female advised that there was a physical altercation between them. Three officers responded. Documentation was made at the time. An officer will be forwarding the statements and information to the county attorney.
Drug/narcotics violation
A caller Wednesday afternoon at North Sixth Avenue in Washington reported locating drug items. An officer responded and seized the items.
Family offense nonviolent
A caller Wednesday afternoon at Lexington Boulevard in Washington reported that her daughter got out of the car near the Sheriff's Department and was then walking toward Highway 1 on Lexington Boulevard. The caller requested an officer. An officer spoke with both daughter and mother. Charges were filed on the female juvenile for assault causing bodily injury. The subject was transported to the jail for fingerprinting. The juvenile was then transported to the Police Department, where transport arrangements were made with Juvenile Probation for her to be taken to detention in Eldora.
Truancy
A caller Wednesday morning at Underwood Avenue in Ainsworth reported a student truant from school, and they could not get hold of the student's mother. An officer responded and checked the student's address, and was unable to locate the subjects.
Welfare check
A caller Wednesday morning at East Jefferson Street in Washington requested a welfare check on her husband. Three officers responded. Contact was made. There were no problems. The officers checked back at noon, and everything was fine.
All other offenses
A caller Wednesday morning at South Ninth Avenue in Washington reported trash bags between the 1000 block and the 700 block of South Ninth Avenue had been cut open. An officer checked the area and was unable to locate any cut-open trash bags or trash on the street. The report was documented.
