Arrests

Jan. 5 – 5:09 p.m., warrant serv. /court order hold was reported at W. Broad St. and N. Broadway St., Mt. Pleasant.

Jan. 5 – 10:11 p.m., warrant serv. /court order hold was reported in the 300 block of W. Monroe St., Mt. Pleasant.

Jan. 3 – 2:19 p.m., warrant arrest was reported in the 200 block of W. Main St., Washington. Willie Brooks, 19, of Washington, was arrested on a warrant for failed to appear for trial original charge for driving while license denied, suspended, cancelled or revoked.

Jan. 5 – 1:21 p.m., warrant arrest was reported in the 300 block of E. 5th St., Washington. Juan Orozco, 36, of Iowa City, was arrested on a warrant for burglary 2nd degree, theft 3rd degree, trespass, burglary 3rd degree – motor vehicle and theft 3rd degree.

Jan. 6 – 12:10 p.m., warrant arrest was reported in the 2100 block of Lexington Blvd., Washington. Devin Winters, 22, of Washington, was arrested on a warrant for violation of probation on original charge of possession of a short barreled rifle or shotgun.

Traffic Accidents

Jan. 5 – 5:51 p.m., motor vehicle accident with property damage was reported at N. Grand Ave. and E. Mapleleaf Dr., Mt. Pleasant.

Jan. 3 – 9:00 p.m., traffic accident was reported in the 100 block of W. H Ave., Kalona. Jody Morgan, 45, of Kalona, was arrested for OWI 2nd offense, failure to maintain control and no driver's license.

Jan. 4 – 4:44 p.m., traffic accident was reported in the 3100 block of Coppock Rd., Washington.

Jan. 5 – 2:38 p.m., traffic accident was reported in the 200 block of E. Washington St., Washington.

Jan. 5 – 8:15 p.m., traffic accident was reported in the 5100 block of Johnson Iowa Rd. SW, Wellman.

Jan. 6 – 1:43 p.m., hit and run was reported in the 1000 block of N. Grand Ave., Mt. Pleasant.

Jan. 6 – 6:40 p.m., motor vehicle accident with property damage was reported at N. Iris St. and E. Mapleleaf Dr., Mt. Pleasant.

Jan. 4 – 4:04 p.m., structure fire was reported in the 400 block of S. Pearl St., Wayland.

Jan. 5 – 11:34 a.m., structure fire was reported in the 3000 block of Louisa Henry Ave.

Jan. 3 – 1134 a.m., motor vehicle theft was reported in the 2500 block of Hwy. 1, Washington.

Jan. 5 – 9:35 a.m., theft was reported in the 3100 block of Hwy. 22, Riverside.

Jan. 3 – 3:02 p.m., theft/shoplifting was reported at Hy-Vee in Fairfield. Bobbie Peavey, 47, of Fairfield, was arrested and charged with theft 5th degree.

Jan. 4 – 6:27 p.m., theft/shoplifting was reported at WalMart in Fairfield. Maria Swinscoe, 22, of Fairfield, was cited for theft 5th degree.

Jan. 6 – 11:42 a.m., theft/larceny/shoplifting was reported in the 1200 block of W. Saunders St., Mt. Pleasant.

Jan. 6 – 7:27 p.m., theft/shoplifting was reported at WalMart in Fairfield.

Jan. 6 – 8:20 p.m., theft was reported in the 300 block of N. C St., Fairfield.
