A caller Friday afternoon at East 46th Street in Davenport reported locating a wanted subject out of Washington County. They had local charges. Blaze Anthony Parton, 34, of Davenport, was arrested on a Washington County warrant for third-degree theft. Bond was $2,000 cash only.
Washington County Jail reported receiving a subject on a DNR warrant, Friday night at Lexington Boulevard in Washington. Steven Tyler Bittner, 24, of Brighton, was arrested on a DNR warrant for violation of probation in reference to original charges of possession of controlled substance –methamphetamine, and possession of a controlled substance – marijuana. Bond was $2,000 cash only. An officer served the warrant.
An officer reported being out with a vehicle accident with an intoxicated driver, early Saturday morning at Palm Avenue and Highway 22 in Kalona. Two additional officers also responded. Isaiah James Swantz, 19, of Wellman, was arrested on charges of operating while intoxicated first offense, and failure to maintain control.
An officer reported being at a vehicle stop, Saturday afternoon at Highway 218 and 220th Street in Ainsworth. An additional Washington County officer and an Iowa State Patrol officer responded. Taneesha Morrow, 35, of Waterloo, was arrested on charges of speeding 93 mph in a 65 mph zone, possession of controlled substance – marijuana, possession of drug paraphernalia and OWI first offense. An officer was requested at the jail.
An officer reported a vehicle stop, Saturday afternoon at West Madison Street in Washington. Ruth Ann Dawson, 54, of Washington, was arrested on charges of driving under suspension fourth offense, no insurance, and expired registration.
An officer reported being out with a wanted subject, Saturday afternoon at North Avenue C in Washington. Mary Jane Soto, 45, of Washington, was arrested on three warrants, for failure to appear for the initial on original charges of driving under suspension and fifth-degree theft, and compulsory education violation first offense. Total bond was $900 cash only. An officer served the warrant, and the warrant was cleared from the system.
An officer reported being out checking on a wanted subject, Sunday afternoon at West Main Street in Washington. Jason Michael Nichols, 24, of Washington, was arrested on a charge of possession of controlled substance – marijuana, first offense. Bond was $1,000 cash or surety.
An officer reported a vehicle stop with two vehicles in reference to suspicious activity, Sunday night at Highway 92 in Ainsworth. Nathan Russell Beckler, 33, of Harper, was arrested on a charge of driving while barred, seventh offense.
Traffic accident
A caller Friday morning at North Marion Avenue in Washington reported that her vehicle was hit sometime during the night or sometime Friday morning. There was damage to the driver side mirror. There was no paint transfer. The caller requested documentation for insurance purposes. An officer was advised. Documentation was made.
A caller Friday night at Highway 218 and 192nd Street in Ainsworth reported a car-vs.-deer accident. The vehicle was on the side of the road with the flashers on. The deer was lying in the middle of the roadway. An officer responded. The deer was off the roadway, and the vehicle was gone.
A caller reported being involved in an accident with another vehicle before church, Sunday morning at North Marion Avenue and West Second Street in Washington. There were no injuries, and information was exchanged. An officer responded. The incident was documented.
A caller Sunday afternoon at Highway 218 and 140th Street in Riverside reported that an SUV rear-ended a semi south of Exit 80 on Highway 218 on the northbound side, with unknown injuries. Vehicle operators were James Fuller, of Washington, and Ivan Honcharuk, of Wisconsin. The semi was put out of service by a Transportation officer. Fuller was cited for DUS and no valid insurance accident-related. Damages to vehicles amounted to more than $1,500. A report will be filed. Earl's was contacted to tow the vehicle, which was to be held for proof insurance, payment of tow bill, and release to a valid driver.
A caller early Monday morning at 250th Street in Washington reported that she hit a deer with her 2018 Kia Soul. She got the vehicle off the roadway as much as possible and was not sure if the deer was in the roadway. An officer responded. The vehicle had more than $1,500 in damage but was still drivable. The driver was given a state accident report to fill out. Documentation was made for insurance purposes. The vehicle operator was Antoinnetta Porras.

A caller Friday afternoon at Sixth Avenue in Wellman reported someone driving across his property. An officer responded and left a message for callback from the vehicle owner.
A caller Friday night at 200th Street and Nutmeg Avenue in Washington reported that a pickup truck drove on 200th Street and damaged the dirt road. An officer was advised. Documentation was made. County Roads was notified.
A caller Friday night at 250th Street and Kiwi Avenue in Washington reported having trouble with her car. There was a language barrier. An officer responded. The subject was transported to a motel in Washington. The vehicle was added to the system, and they would try to move it the next day.

A caller Saturday afternoon at Gum Avenue in Washington reported that he was contacted by a tenant and told that his garage was on fire, which was by the house. Washington Fire, Brighton Fire and an ambulance responded. There was no medical transport. The fire was extinguished.
A caller Saturday afternoon at B Avenue in Kalona reported a strong smell of natural gas and requested that law enforcement contact Alliant to advise of the issue. Kalona Fire Department was disregarded according to the Kalona Fire Chief's instructions. Alliant was contacted.

Animal complaint
A caller Saturday morning at South Fourth Avenue in Washington reported that she had a bat inside her home. An officer responded and removed the bat from the home.

A caller Saturday morning at Robbins Court in Washington reported that her friend was assaulted by another friend of theirs after an argument about car keys. An officer responded. The incident is under investigation.

A caller Friday morning at West Monroe Street in Washington reported that the car wash was broken into sometime in the night. Entry was made through the roof. Two officers responded. A report will be filed.

A caller Friday morning at North Fifth Avenue in Washington requested a civil standby to pick up personal belongings. An officer responded. Items were retrieved with no issues.

A caller Saturday afternoon at Washington Street in Ainsworth reported wanting a subject out of his residence. An officer responded. The subject had left, and he was advised not to return. He was also advised to seek a civil standby to get his belongings.
A caller Saturday afternoon at North Taylor Street in Brighton reported that the father of her baby was at the residence causing problems and would not leave. He was also possibly in possession of drug paraphernalia. An officer responded. No drug paraphernalia was located. The subject had a ride coming.
A caller Sunday afternoon at East Main Street in Brighton reported having a verbal argument with her friend, and requested a deputy. An officer spoke with both subjects. The female was waiting for a ride.
A caller Sunday afternoon at Fifth Street in Wellman reported that her son was throwing items in his room and was out of control. The juvenile was 14 years old. An officer spoke with all subjects. The son calmed down. No further problems were anticipated.

A caller Sunday night at Parkside Estates Road in Washington reported loud music possibly coming from a nearby lot. An officer responded. Subject were having a get-together and the music was not loud, but they were advised to make sure the music stayed down.
Family offense nonviolent
A caller Saturday morning at North Iowa Avenue in Washington reported that her 13-year-old son was threatening to break a window and run away. The caller requested that an officer speak to him. An officer responded. The juvenile calmed down.
Henry County reported receiving a 911 call Sunday night from a female at Coppock Road in Washington, who stated that her son was out of control and was being violent. The juvenile had left the residence on foot. Two officers responded and spoke with all parties. The juvenile was located, and the issue was resolved.
Illegal dumping
A caller Saturday afternoon at West Main Street in Washington reported the illegal dumping of a trash bag. An officer responded and made contact with the tenant. They put a bag out, but it had not been picked up yet.
Intimidation/harassment
A caller Saturday afternoon at Walnut Avenue in Riverside reported harassment from her father. An officer phoned the caller and advised her to change her number of get a no-contact order.
Liquor law violations
A caller Saturday evening at West Main Street in Washington reported that there were subjects in Sunset Park on the disc golf course who were yelling at him and his friend. One of the subject was possibly drinking under age. An officer responded and spoke to several groups on the course. The report was unfounded.
Motor vehicle theft
A caller early Saturday morning at Highway 22 in Riverside reported that his silver 2018 Chevrolet Silverado was just stolen. An officer responded. The truck had a black Tonneau cover. The vehicle was entered as stolen. About two hours later, at 6:07 a.m., the officer located the vehicle at 11th Street in Wellman.

A caller Friday afternoon at South Fourth Avenue in Washington requested an officer regarding an issue with a student. An officer responded. A report will be filed.
Runaways/missing person
A caller Friday morning at East Jefferson Street in Washington reported locating missing juveniles. Two officers responded. The juveniles were located and were removed from the system.
A caller Saturday morning at West Monroe Street in Washington reported that her son ran away from her residence while visiting from his program. Two officers responded. The subject was located by an officer and was transported to his mother's residence.
Suspicious activity
A caller Saturday night at Larch Avenue in Washington reported a black truck and another vehicle just parked in a field drive. Subjects were still in the vehicles. Two officers responded. Everything was fine. Subjects just parked there to talk.
A caller early Sunday morning at C Avenue in Kalona reported suspicious activity. An officer responded. It was the paper delivery person. There was no problem.
A caller Sunday morning at South Farmer Street in Brighton located a suspicious item. An officer responded, and the item was retrieved.

A caller early Monday morning at Highway 92 in Ainsworth reported that a male subject had been in the store for several hours. An officer responded and spoke with the subject. He fueled up and was on his way.
A caller Monday morning at Highway 218 and the Highway 92 ramp in Ainsworth reported seeing a bag along the side of the highway after a vehicle with flashers on took off from that location. An officer responded and located a camouflage duffel bag. Law enforcement was going to hold onto the bag for a few days in case the owner came back looking for it.
Vandalism
A subject Sunday afternoon in the lobby of the sheriff's office in Washington reported he had tree stands in timber south of Washington, at Sockum Ridge Road and Quince Avenue in Washington, and they were vandalized. Documentation was made.
Welfare check
A caller Saturday afternoon at Sixth Avenue in Wellman requested a welfare check on two small children at the school. It did not appear that there were any adults supervising them. An officer responded and spoke with the father of the children. The report was unfounded.
A caller Saturday evening at Highway 218 and Vine Avenue in Ainsworth reported a maroon Toyota Corolla with a female in the driver side, lying back. An officer checked several locations in the area and was unable to locate anyone or a vehicle.
A caller Sunday night at C Avenue in Kalona reported a red emergency light was on and a subject was not answering the door. The caller requested a welfare check. An officer, Kalona QRS and an ambulance responded. The ambulance was disregarded. There were no issues, and no transport was made.

A caller Saturday morning at East Third Street in Washington reported that someone came in through her door window and stole her cookies. An officer responded. The report was unfounded.
A caller Saturday afternoon at West Fifth Street in Washington reported that her front license plate was missing from her truck. The screws were also gone. An officer was advised. The plate was entered into the system.
