A caller Monday evening at Lexington Boulevard in Washington reported that they had a warrant for a subject in the Washington County Jail. Jackson Yaro Young, 20, of Kalona, was arrested on a Linn County warrant for revocation of probation on a charge of third-degree sexual abuse. Bond was $10,000 cash or surety. A hold was placed for Linn County.
A caller Monday night at A Avenue in Kalona reported that a white Chevrolet Blazer almost hit him on his bicycle in the trailer court. There were several people in the vehicle who had been drinking. The vehicle was located at B Avenue in Kalona. Lucas Anthony Ray, 26, of Kalona, was arrested on a charge of driving under suspension.
An officer reported being out checking on a wanted subject from Keokuk County, Monday night at Old White Way in Ainsworth. Nathan Russell Beckler, 33, of Ainsworth, was arrested on a Keokuk County warrant for failure to appear for a mittimus. He was to start his 30 days on March 15, 2019, and had not showed up. There was no bond. He must serve 30 days. The subject was transported to the county line.
Traffic accident
A caller Monday morning at Highway 92 in Ainsworth reported hitting a deer on Highway 92 by Marr Park. The caller believed the deer ran off and was unsure if her vehicle was drivable. Air bags did deploy, but there were no injuries to vehicle occupants. An officer responded. The vehicle was drivable. The accident was documented.
A caller Monday morning at Sixth Street and E Avenue in Kalona reported that at about 8:15 a.m. on March 28, he backed into a dumpster in Kalona. There was minimal damage. Documentation was made for insurance purposes.
A caller Monday night at Highway 22 and Vine Avenue in Riverside reported that a vehicle ran the stop sign and was then south of the intersection, in the ditch, on its side. One female was trapped inside the vehicle. Riverside QRS, Riverside Fire, an ambulance, two officers, and Eastern Iowa Light and Power all responded. Earl's towed the vehicle. The ambulance transported one patient to the University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics in Iowa City, arriving at 9:56 p.m. Damage to the vehicle amounted to more than $1,500. A state report will be filed. Charges are pending per DCI Lab results on Kelley Suzanne Williams, for OWI first offense and assault on medical personnel.

A caller Monday morning at North Seventh Avenue and East 14th Street in Washington reported that a blue Dodge Durango with Illinois plates had been parked for more than a week. The vehicle was legally parked. An officer chalked the tires and planned to check on it on Tuesday.
A caller Monday afternoon at South Fourth Avenue and East Tyler Street in Washington reported a tan-colored car parked at the stop sign with no one inside it. An officer responded and spoke to the owner, who moved the vehicle.
Animal complaint
An officer reported being out with an injured deer in the roadway, early Tuesday morning at Highway 1 in Washington. The officer made the deer final and removed it from the roadway. A caller requested a deer tag for that deer. An officer responded and issued a deer tag to James Harold Harter, of Wellman.
Barking dog
A caller Monday afternoon at Howard Street in Kalona reported that the neighbor's three dogs constantly barked when the owners were not home. An officer responded and made the owner aware of the complaints. The animals were inside upon the officer's arrival.
Civil standby
A caller Monday afternoon at Larch Avenue in Washington requested a civil standby. An officer responded. Items were retrieved.
Fraud
A caller Monday afternoon at North 15th Avenue in Washington reported that she was scammed out of some money. An officer spoke with the caller. The information was documented.
Intimidation/harassment
A caller Monday morning at Seventh Avenue in Wellman reported receiving a suspicious message on her voice mail. An officer spoke with the caller. Documentation was made.
Suspicious activity
A caller Monday morning at 192nd Street in Ainsworth reported that a gate was opened and someone parked an unknown vehicle there. The vehicle was then unoccupied. An officer responded. A stolen dealer plate was on the vehicle. The vehicle was towed by Earl's, to be released upon payment of the tow bill.
Welfare check
A caller Monday afternoon at East Second Street in Washington requested a welfare check for a female who was in the bank making concerning comments. An officer checked the residence. No one was home, and everything looked OK. Two officers responded again later and found the subject in the house. She was OK; she just needed to talk to someone.
All other theft
A caller Monday afternoon at East Washington Street in Washington reported a gas drive-off of $30.23. The license plate number was provided. Henry County was advised to try to make contact with the registered owner.
A caller Monday night at North Marion Avenue in Washington reported that someone took his black Huffy bicycle. Documentation was made.
All other offenses
A caller Monday morning at West Madison Street in Washington reported that garbage from an overflowing dumpster was all over the street and yards along with a trash can. An officer responded and spoke with personnel at the business.
A caller Monday afternoon at West Fifth Street in Washington reported that a client reported a possible scam. An officer responded. The subject was out a couple of thousand dollar. There were no suspects. The information was documented.
A caller Monday afternoon at Parkside Estates Road in Washington advised that he was renting a trailer from a false owner. An officer responded and spoke to the caller and was going to speak to the landlord on Tuesday. Documentation was made.
