Information is collected from Henry, Jefferson and Washington county law enforcement agencies. As with any criminal case a charge is merely an accusation, and a defendant is presumed innocent until and unless proven guilt.

Arrests

Nov. 12 – 1:45 p.m., warrant arrest was reported in the 6300 block of Hwy. 151, Marion. Joshua Conklin, 26, of Marion, was arrested on a warrant for failure to appear for contempt hearing on other act or omission of magistrate court.

Nov. 13 – 5:22 a.m., warrant arrest was reported in the 2100 block of Lexington Blvd., Washington. Caitlin Nichols, 24, of Brighton, was arrested for violation of probation on original charge of prohibited acts and possession of a controlled substance 1st offense. Warrant has been cleared.

Nov. 13 – 9:48 p.m., arrest warrant was reported to the Jefferson County Law Center, Fairfield. Nicolle Vandenberg, 18, of Fairfield, was arrested on a warrant for possession of a controlled substance 1st offense.

Nov. 13 – 4:34 p.m., warrant arrest was reported in the 100 block of W. 2nd St., Washington. Adam Neff, of Washington, was arrested on a warrant for possession of controlled substance 2nd offense and possession of drug paraphernalia. Additional charges pending DCI Lab results for possession of controlled substance and possession of drug paraphernalia.

Traffic Accidents

Nov. 12 – 8:04 a.m., traffic accident was reported in the 2300 block of Vine Ave., Ainsworth.

Nov. 12 – 9:25 a.m., traffic accident was reported in the 1400 block of Ginkgo Ave., Wellman.

Nov. 12 – 3:06 p.m., traffic accident was reported at S. 12th Ave. and E. Washington St., Washington.

Nov. 12 – 4:55 p.m., traffic accident was reported in the 500 block of W. Fountain St., Brighton.

Nov. 12 – 8:07 a.m., hit and run was reported at Pence Elementary, Fairfield.

Nov. 12 – 1:43 p.m., motor vehicle accident with damage was reported in the 300 block of E. School Ave., Olds.

Nov. 12 – 4:15 p.m., hit and run was reported in the 1000 block of N. Grand Ave., Mt. Pleasant.

Nov. 13 – 2:20 p.m., motor vehicle accident with damage was reported at W. Clay St. and S. White St., Mt. Pleasant.

Nov. 13 – 4:43 p.m., motor vehicle accident with damage was reported at Hwy. 78 and Oasis Ave., Winfield.

Nov. 13 – 7:49 p.m., traffic accident was reported in the 2000 block of N. Court St., Fairfield.

Nov. 13 – 9:31 p.m., traffic accident was reported at 230th St. and Spruce Ave., Ainsworth.

Nov. 13 – 11:01 a.m., traffic accident was reported at 5th St. and G Ave., Kalona.

Nov. 13 – 2:53 p.m., traffic accident was reported in the 100 block of E. Main St., Washington.

Nov. 13 – 6:24 p.m., theft was reported in the 300 block of S. 4th Ave., Washington.

Harassment

Nov. 12 – 5:00 p.m., harassment/threats was reported in the 2100 block of S. Grand Ave., Mt. Pleasant.

Nov. 12 – 3:53 p.m., harassment was reported in the 411 block of N. Court St., Fairfield.

Runaway/Missing Person

Nov. 13 – 3:18 p.m., missing person was reported to the Van Buren County Sheriff's Office, Keosauqua.

Fire

Nov. 12 – 1:36 p.m., controlled burn was reported in the 1500 block of Oakland Mills Rd., Mt. Pleasant.

Nov. 13 – 10:36 p.m., structure fire was reported in the 1100 block of Oasis Ave., Winfield.

Nov. 13 – 10:45 a.m., fire call was reported in the 1600 block of 3354th St., Brighton. Brighton Fire responded and the fire was extinguished.

Assaults

Nov. 12 – 7:11 p.m., domestic disturbance was reported in the 300 block of N. C St., Fairfield.

Nov. 13 – 1:18 p.m., assault was reported in the 900 block of S. Iris St., Mt. Pleasant.

Nov. 13 – 10:14 p.m., assault was reported in the 300 block of S. 17th St., Fairfield.

Theft

Nov. 12 – 1:30 p.m., theft/larceny/shoplifting was reported in the 200 block of E. Washington St., Mt. Pleasant.

Nov. 13 – 6:14 p.m., theft was reported at Burger King, Fairfield.

Nov. 13 – 1:59 p.m., theft was reported at 1100 block of E. Tyler St., Washington.

Burglary

Nov. 13 – 10:55 a.m., burglary was reported in the 600 block of N. Broadway St., Mt. Pleasant.

DUIs

Nov. 12 – 1:01 a.m., driving under influence – OWI was reported at C and Burlington, Fairfield. Nicholas Frisbie, 18, of Fairfield, was arrested and charged with operating while intoxicated 1st offense.

Drugs

Nov. 13 – 1:53 p.m., narcotic violation was reported in the 700 block of N. Main St., Mt. Pleasant.

Nov. 13 – 2:41 p.m., narcotic violation was reported in the 100 block of E. Clay St., Mt. Pleasant.

Nov. 12 – 9:47 a.m., forgery/counterfeit was reported at Midwest One Bank Branch, Fairfield.
