Arrests
Oct. 24 – 11:35 a.m., warrant serv. /court order hold was reported in the 400 block of N. Iris St., Mt. Pleasant.
Oct. 24 – 12:25 p.m., warrant service was reported in the 300 block of W. Polk Ave., Fairfield.
Oct. 24 – 1:24 p.m., search warrant executed was reported in the 3000 block of Old White Way, Ainsworth. Curtis Cousins, 35, of Ainsworth, was charged with offense/possession of firearm by a felon x2, and possession of controlled substance with intent to deliver (over 5 grams).
Oct. 24 – 3:49 p.m., warrant arrest was reported in the 4500 block of Melrose Ave., Iowa City. Randy McKenzie Jr., 38, of Wellman was arrested on a warrant for violation of no contact order.
Oct. 24 – 8:36 p.m., warrant arrest was reported in the 2100 block of Lexington Blvd., Washington. Dallas Leffler, 21, of Keota, was arrested on a warrant for possession of controlled substance – marijuana 1st offense.
Oct. 24 – 9:58 p.m., warrant arrest was reported in the 6300 block of Hwy. 151, Marion. Paula Frantz, 47, of Cedar Rapids, was arrest on a warrant for failed to appear for pretrial on original charge of possession of controlled substance 2nd offense and failed to appear for pretrial on original charge of forgery.
Traffic Accidents
Oct. 24 – 10:51 a.m., motor vehicle accident with damage was reported in the 200 block of N. Jefferson St., Mt. Pleasant.
Oct. 24 – 5:56 p.m., motor vehicle accident with damage was reported at 253rd St. and 265th St., Mt. Pleasant.
Oct. 24 – 10:36 a.m., vehicle hit a deer was reported at Larch Ave. and Hwy. 92, Washington.
Oct. 24 – 12:01 p.m., traffic accident was reported in the 3000 block of River Crossing Ct., Riverside. Jeffrey Carp, of Wildwood, MO., was cited for driving on the wrong side of the two way hwy.
Oct. 24 – 12:25 p.m., traffic accident with possible injuries was reported at Hwy. 1 and W. Main St., Washington. Melanie Mejia-Bonilla, of Washington, was cited for failure to stop at a safe and assured distance.

Oct. 24 – 11:39 a.m., harassment was reported in the 1100 block of W. Hempstead Ave., Fairfield.
Oct. 24 – 4:32 p.m., harassment was reported in the 300 block of W. Washington.

Oct. 24 – 3:31 p.m., fire alarm was reported in the 500 block of N. Golden Eagle Dr., Mt. Pleasant.
Oct. 24 – 8:07 a.m., fire call was reported in the 800 block of E. 7th St., Washington. Washington Fire Department responded and no fire.

Oct. 24 – 4:39 p.m., assault was reported in the 300 block of S. 4th Ave., Washington.

Oct. 24 – 2:29 p.m., theft/larceny/shoplifting was reported in the 200 block of E. Washington St., Mt. Pleasant.
Oct. 24 – 4:11 p.m., theft from building was reported at Parkview Care Center, Fairfield.
Oct. 24 – 3:19 p.m., theft was reported in the 400 block of S. 4th Ave., Washington.
Burglary
Oct. 24 – 1:40 p.m., burglary was reported in the 400 block of N. Oak St., Winfield.
Oct. 24 – 10:22 p.m., burglary was reported in the 1600 block of 260th St., Washington.
Drugs
Oct. 24 – 3:36 p.m., drugs-narcotic violations was reported at Americus Diamond, Fairfield.
Sexual Assault
Oct. 24 – 9:06 a.m., sexual child abuse was reported in the 2100 block of Lexington Blvd., Washington.
DUIs
Oct. 24 – 7:52 p.m., intoxication was reported at Conoco, Fairfield and citation issued for consuming alcohol in public.
