Patsy Mae Trussell Humphrey, 41, of Houston, Texas, was arrested Monday afternoon in the 2400 block of Highway 92 in Washington on a charge of fifth-degree theft.
Traffic accident
A caller Monday noon in the 100 block of Ninth Street in Kalona reported a traffic accident in front of the Kalona Sales Barn. An officer responded. The accident occurred on private property, and drivers? insurance information was exchanged.
A caller Monday night in the 300 block of West Madison Street in Washington reported that, between 3:15 and 3:30 p.m., a white vehicle hit her Toyota Corolla and took off. An officer responded and the report was taken. The officer planned to view the video from the service station.
Traffic other
A caller Monday night in the 500 block of North Iowa Avenue in Washington reported a green van that had been sitting in front of her house for a week, and the windows were down. An officer responded and tried to make contact with the owner of the vehicle. The officer chalked the tires.
A caller Monday night in the 200 block of Jefferson Street in Kalona reported a male subject driving a go-kart around the streets of Richmond, being unsafe. An officer responded and spoke with two males. Both subjects were counseled.
Animal complaint
A caller Monday afternoon in the 100 block of East 11th Street in Washington reported there was a bat in his apartment. An officer responded and took care of the bat.
A caller Monday afternoon in the 800 block of North Fifth Avenue in Washington reported a small deer injured near that location. Officers responded and put the deer down.
A caller Tuesday morning in the 2600 block of 320th Street in Wayland reported cows out. An officer responded. The cow owner was contacted, and he responded. Deon Leichty was cited into court for allowing animals to run at large. The information was forwarded to the county attorney and the trustee township.
Assault
A caller Monday evening in the 400 block of North Avenue C in Washington reported being assaulted by a male subject. He had left the residence. Officers responded. The incident is under investigation. Charges are pending on a male juvenile for assault.
Fraud
A caller Monday morning in the 2800 block of Highway 92 in Ainsworth reported his father was involved in a roofing scam and was out $2,700. An officer spoke with the subject. The information was documented.
A caller Monday afternoon in the 2500 block of 320th Street in Wayland reported a fraud with a technology provider in her name for her previous address in Mount Pleasant. The amount in collections was $1,130.47. An officer was advised of the identity theft. Documentation was made.
Intimidation/harassment
A subject from the 1 block of Parkside Estates Road in Washington was at the Police Department Monday morning, reporting harassment via Facebook. An officer spoke with the subject and helped her set up some blocks on her phone. The information was for documentation only.
A caller Monday afternoon in the 1300 block of 145th Street in Wellman reported receiving threats via text messaging. An officer spoke with the subject, who was possibly planning to come in to the sheriff?s office Monday night to give statements.
Runaways/missing person
A caller Monday night in the 1200 block of South Iowa Avenue in Washington reported her 15-year-old daughter had run away. She was last seen in a store on East Washington Street. She had her yellow Lab dog with her, and was possibly in Columbus Junction. An officer responded and spoke with the mother, and entered the juvenile as missing. The mother later located the juvenile in Columbus Junction. The juvenile was canceled from the system as missing.
Sexual child abuse
A caller Monday afternoon in the 2100 block of Lexington Boulevard in Washington reported a sexual assault. A report will be filed.
Suspicious activity
A caller Monday night in the 100 block of East Jefferson Street in Washington reported a male subject, in a silver Subaru with youngsters in the back seat, was acting strange. He had doors open and was jumping around. An officer responded and spoke with the subject. He was with his siblings, waiting for their mother to get off work. Everything was fine.
Vandalism
A caller Monday afternoon in the 400 block of South Ninth Avenue in Washington reported possible vandalism to the side of her house by a pellet gun. An officer responded and spoke with the caller and other neighbors. This was hail damage, not vandalism.
A caller Monday afternoon in the 200 block of A Avenue in Kalona reported his truck was vandalized and there was a dent in it. An officer responded and was going to obtain an estimate on damage. The information was documented.
All other theft
A caller Monday morning in the 700 block of East 14th Street in Washington reported a pony keg of root beer and a tapper were taken from a garage walk-in cooler on June 3, late at night and before 8 a.m. This was rented equipment. The caller had no suspects. An officer spoke with the calle,r and the information was documented.
A caller Monday night in the 400 block of West Madison Street in Washington reported his ex-girlfriend took the abstract to his home. She was not on the mortgage any longer. An officer responded and spoke with the reporting party. This was a civil problem.
A caller Tuesday morning in the 2400 block of Highway 92 in Washington reported a theft. An officer responded, and a report will be filed. Kimberly Dawn Cole, 37, of Brighton was cited into court for fifth-degree theft.
All other offenses
A caller Monday morning in the 2400 block of Robbins Court in Washington reported being in a verbal disagreement with her grandson, who punched a hole in the wall after hitting his bed headboard. Parties were currently separated. Officers responded. The grandson left the residence to calm down. The incident was documented.
A caller Monday afternoon in the 100 block of West Second Street in Washington reported an intoxicated male walking westbound from the liquor store. He had fallen twice and was wearing a white shirt. An officer responded and spoke with the caller. She advised that the last time she had seen him, he was going southbound by the post office. The officer checked the area and was unable to locate the subject.
A caller Monday night in the 300 block of West Third Street in Washington reported his neighbors were outside, yelling inappropriate comments. An officer responded and spoke with a subject at that location and advised them to keep it down.
