Police log: Oct. 15, 2019

Arrests

Oct. 13 – 2:47 p.m., Anthony Casady, 55, of 200 block of Texas Street, Bonaparte, was arrested on a warrant for failure to appear on original charge of driving under suspension.

Traffic Accidents

Oct. 9 – 4:06 p.m., a two-vehicle accident was reported in the 2100 grid of Hwy. 34, just east of Mt. Pleasant. Involving Lillian Pereira, of New London and Jeremie Hinkle, of Mt. Union.

Oct. 11 – 3:22 p.m., a motor vehicle accident, with property damage, was reported at 2100 block S. Grand Ave., Mt. Pleasant.

Oct. 11 – 7:19 p.m., a motor vehicle accident, with property damage, was reported at 400 block E. Mapleleaf Dr., Mt. Pleasant.

Oct. 11 – 8:38 p.m., a motor vehicle accident, with property damage, was reported at 400 block N. Broadway St., Mt. Pleasant.

Oct. 12 – 12:32 a.m., a motor vehicle accident, with injuries, was reported at 100 block N. Jackson St., Wayland.

Oct. 13 – 5:25 p.m., a motor vehicle accident, with property damage, was reported at 1200 block Ash Ave., Wayland.

Oct. 13 – 7:52 p.m., a vehicle hit a deer south of 315th St, Brighton.

Harassment

Oct. 11 – 9:29 a.m., Harassment/threats was reported in the 2800 block of Henry Des Moines Ave., Danville.

Missing Person

Oct. 13 – 10:34 p.m., a missing person/runaway was reported in Washington County.

Fire

Oct. 11 – 6:23 a.m., a vehicle/equipment fire was reported at Hwy 218 and N. Iowa Ave., Mt. Pleasant

Oct. 11 – 7:42 a.m., fire alarm sounded in the 600 block of S. Redbud Rdg., Mt. Pleasant.

Oct. 11 – 9:05 a.m., fire alarm sounded in the 100 block of N. Main St., Mt. Pleasant.

Oct. 12 – 12:24 p.m., a caller in the 3200 block of Red Oak Ave. in Wayland, reported a field on fire and not near any structures. Wayland Fire responded and put the fire out.

Assaults

Oct. 11 – 9:52 p.m., assault was reported in the 2600 block of 320th St., Wayland.

Oct. 14 – 1:15 a.m., assault was reported in the 500 block of E. Madison St., Brighton. Ashley McWhortor, 22, was arrested for simple assault.

Theft

Oct. 11 – 7:31 p.m., theft/larceny/shoplifting was reported in the 1000 block of N. Grand Ave., Mt. Pleasant.

Oct. 12 – 12:19 p.m., theft/larceny/shoplifting was reported in the 200 block of E. South St., Mt. Pleasant.

Oct. 12 – 10:21 a.m., caller reported a gas drive off in the 1500 block of E. Washington St., Washington.

Burglary

Oct. 12 – 12:55 a.m., burglary reported in the 2900 block of Lexington Ave., Mt. Pleasant.
