Arrests
Oct. 19 – 1:43 p.m., Jeffrey Whennen Jr., 38, of Fairfield was arrested at 32nd and Burlington St. in Fairfield and was charged with driving while barred.
Oct. 19 – 12:20 a.m., warrant service was reported in the 300 block of W. Polk Ave., Fairfield.
Oct. 19 – 12:29 a.m., warrant service was reported in the 500 block of W. Monroe Ave., Fairfield.
Oct. 19 – 12:40 a.m., warrant service was reported in the 400 block of N. F St., Fairfield.
Oct. 19 – 10:47 a.m., Davonte Coleman, 27, of Iowa City, was arrested in the 3100 block Hwy. 22, Riverside on a warrant for failure to appear for adjudication of guilt and sentencing for violation of probation original charge OWI 1st offense. Jordan Bertling, 23, of Iowa City was also arrested on a warrant for revocation of probation original charge OWI 3rd offense.
Oct. 19 – 7:16 p.m., Paul Swailes, 44, of Wellman was arrested in the 700 block of 6th St., Wellman on warrant for two counts of violation of probation original charges driving while barred habitual offender and possession of controlled substance 3rd or subsequent offense.
Oct. 20 – 9:08 p.m., Derek Heseltine, 19, of West Chester was arrested in the 1300 block of Hwy. 1 in Kalona and charged for OWI 1st offences and charges pending for possession of controlled substance and possession of drug paraphernalia.
Oct. 21 – 2:29 a.m., Tiffany Turner, 33, of Columbus Junction was arrested in the 300 block of Hwy. 22, Riverside for offense/assault on a peace officer, interference and OWI. Brietta Walker, 33, of Conesville was also arrested for offense/possession of controlled substance and possession of drug paraphernalia.
Oct. 20 – 2:16 p.m., Brandon Kempf, 27, of Fairfield was arrested in the 200 block of Hwy. 34, Fairfield, and charged with driving while revoked.
Oct. 20 – 5:34 p.m., Sam Spicer, 38, of Fairfield was arrested on a probation violation warrant in the 200 block of S. 15th St. in Fairfield.
Oct. 20 – 9:10 p.m., search warrant/consent search was reported in the 200 block of S. 15th St., Fairfield.
Traffic Accidents
Oct. 19 – 1:57 a.m., motor vehicle accident with injuries was reported in the 2800 block of Hwy. 218, Mt. Pleasant.
Oct. 19 – 1:20 p.m., motor vehicle accident with injuries was reported in the 1600 block of Hwy. 78, Mt. Pleasant.
Oct. 19 – 2:40 p.m., motor vehicle accident with property damage was reported in the 300 block of W. Washington St., Mt. Pleasant.
Oct. 19 – 5:42 p.m., motor vehicle accident with injuries was reported in the 1700 block of E. Washington St., Mt. Pleasant.
Oct. 19 – 7:31 p.m., motor vehicle accident with damage was reported in the 2100 block of Hwy. 218, Mt. Pleasant.
Oct. 19 – 2:43 p.m., hit and run was reported at Hy Vee in Fairfield.
Oct. 19 – 7:59 a.m., vehicle hit a deer was reported in the 2700 block of Wayland Rd., Washington.
Oct. 19 – 7:03 p.m., motor vehicle hit a deer at Hwy. 218 and 320th St., Crawfordsville.
Oct. 19 – 11:32 p.m., traffic accident was reported at Underwood Ave. and 220th St., Ainsworth.
Oct. 20 – 9:57 p.m., motor vehicle hit a deer was reported in the 1000 block of Hwy. 218, Riverside and there was no injuries.
Oct. 21 – 6:54 a.m., vehicle hit a deer was reported in the 3300 block of Fir Ave., Brighton.
Oct. 21 – 8:46 a.m., vehicle hit a deer was reported at Elm Ave. and Hwy. 78, Brighton.
Oct. 21 – 11:30 a.m., vehicle hit a deer was reported in the 2800 block of Wayland.
Oct. 21 – 9:12 a.m., traffic accident was reported in the 1400 block of W. Burlington Ave., Fairfield.
Oct. 20 – 4:27 a.m., vehicle hit a cow was reported in the 2800 grid of Franklin Ave., Hillsboro. Daniel Helmick, 43, of Hillsboro, was traveling northbound when a cow walked on to the roadway. The owners of the cow was informed of the incident.

Oct. 19 – 3:46 p.m., harassment/threats was reported in the 2000 block of E. Washington St., Mt. Pleasant.
Oct. 20 – 5:07 p.m., harassment was reported in the 400 block of W. Kirkwood Ave., Fairfield.
Oct. 20 – 8:14 p.m., harassment was reported in the 600 block of W. Adams Ave., Fairfield.
Oct. 21 – 4:48 p.m., intimidation/harassment was reported in the 2200 block of 250th St., Washington.
Oct. 21 – 1:08 p.m., phone harassment was reported in the 600 block of W. Jefferson Ave., Fairfield.

Oct. 18 – 3:56 p.m., controlled burn was reported at Benton Ave. and Hwy. 34, Mt. Pleasant
Oct. 19 – 6:08 p.m., structure fire was reported in the 2100 block of 105th St., Winfield.

Oct. 21 – 5:02 p.m., runaways/missing person was reported in the 1300 block of Tulip Ave., Riverside.

Oct. 19 – 8:11 p.m, Brittni Burk, 25, of Fairfield was arrested in the 50 block of S. 12th St., Fairfield. Burk was arrested and charged with theft – 5th degree.
Oct. 19 – 10:23 p.m., theft was reported in the 1900 block of Larch Ave., Washington.
Oct. 20 – 7:13 p.m., theft was reported at India Café in Fairfield.
Oct. 21 – 10:44 a.m., stolen/recovered bicycle was reported in the 900 block of W. Main St., Washington.
Oct. 21 – 1:49 p.m., identity theft was reported in the 900 block of N. Marion Ave., Washington.
Oct. 21 – 4:41 p.m., larceny/theft was reported in the 900 block of W. Briggs Ave., Fairfield.
