Police: Pilot survives plane crash in Waterloo
WATERLOO (AP) ? An ultra-light plane has crashed near a John Deere facility in Waterloo and the pilot has survived with non-life threatening injuries.
Waterloo Police Capt. Tim Pillack says the plane crashed shortly before 2 p.m. Monday into an open area near the John Deere Engine Works facility. The pilot was taken to a local hospital with non-life threatening injuries.

WATERLOO (AP) ? An ultra-light plane has crashed near a John Deere facility in Waterloo and the pilot has survived with non-life threatening injuries.
Waterloo Police Capt. Tim Pillack says the plane crashed shortly before 2 p.m. Monday into an open area near the John Deere Engine Works facility. The pilot was taken to a local hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
FAA spokesman Tony Molinaro says the agency is not investigating the crash because the plane does not require registration.
Local law enforcement will handle the investigation.
There are no reported injuries on the ground. Pillack says no other information is available.
