The Fairfield Police Department reports the following logged at Dispatch:
Monday
12:23 a.m. - A suspicious person was reported in the 1300 block of West Burlington, and a welfare check was requested.
1:01 a.m. - A verbal warning was issued on Highway 1 at the Maharishi University of Management campus for a traffic violation.
6:25 a.m. - Suspicious activity was reported on Kirkwood Avenue between Fifth and Sixth streets.
7:33 a.m. - A controlled substance was reported in the 3000 block of West Adams.
8:21 a.m. - Extra patrol was requested in the 1500 block of Woodside Circle.
9:15 a.m. - Vandalism was reported on North Sixth.
12:02 p.m. - A traffic accident was reported in the 1300 block of West Burlington.
1:15 p.m. - Crossing arm malfunctions were reported on the east side railroad crossings.
1:33 p.m. - Harassment was reported in the 200 block of East Burlington.
2:04 p.m. - A traffic accident was reported at the southwest corner of the Fairfield square.
3:17 p.m. - Disturbing the peace was reported in the 300 block of West Broadway.
4:14 p.m. - An animal concern was reported in the 300 block of South Second.
4:38 p.m. - A utilities hazard was reported in the 800 block of South Second.
5:05 p.m. - Psychiatric behavior was reported at Fifth and Hempstead.
5:14 p.m. - Ottumwa police spoke with Fairfield police about a missing person.
6:26 p.m. - Police assisted the Wapello County Sheriff's Office.
6:53 p.m. - A citation was issued to Victoria Marie Bright, 33, of Fairfield, at Harrison and Fairview for failure to prove security against liability (non-accident related), driving while suspended, revoked, canceled or denied, and operating non-registered vehicle.
7:33 p.m. - A vehicle, with no front plate, was pulled over at Fourth and Merrill looking for an address. Police advised the driver where the address was and issued a verbal warning for the front plate.
7:42 p.m. - Suspicious activity was reported in the 800 block of West Burlington.
8:50 p.m. - Suspicious activity was reported at Madison and Main and a welfare check was requested.
9:19 p.m. - Vandalism was reported in the 1500 block of Woodside Circle. It was a fireworks complaint.
9:36 p.m. - A parking concern was reported in the 700 block of South Third.
10:54 p.m. - A parking concern was reported at Second and Monroe.
11:51 p.m. - A business alarm sounded in the 2100 block of Libertyville Road. Police were advised to disregard.
Tuesday
12:53 a.m. - Loud music was reported at Sixth and Jefferson.
1:42 a.m. - A vehicle was parked at Fourth and Depot and blocking the entire eastbound lane. The owner was contacted and the car was moved.
8:28 a.m. - Vagrancy panhandling was reported in the 2200 block of West Burlington.
8:51 a.m. - A vehicle was towed from the 500 block of West Burlington.
9:44 a.m. - A traffic accident was reported at D and Lowe.
10:56 a.m. - A civil dispute was reported in the 200 block of East Jefferson.
3:52 p.m. - Police investigated burglary in the 700 block of West Grimes.
4:40 p.m. - Suspicious activity was reported in the 300 block of North Second.
5:05 p.m. - Disturbing the peace was reported in the 1000 block of South Sixth.
7:24 p.m. - Psychiatric behavior was reported in the 2000 block of North Court.
7:41 p.m. - A written warning was issued at D and Broadway for no insurance.
9:15 p.m. - Loud music was reported in the 200 block of North C.
10:30 p.m. - A verbal warning was issued at Sixth and Harrison for expired registration. The driver was advised to remove the plates.
11:03 p.m. - A citation was issued at B and Briggs for expired registration. A verbal warning was issued for expired license.
