Police report

The Fairfield Police Department reports the following calls and incidents logged at dispatch:

A caller reported that her mail is being stolen. Officers attempted to make contact with the subject, but were unable to. Officers continue to investigate.

A citizen said she found a set of headphones with an attached note on her car when it was parked at Fairfield Hy-Vee Food and Drug Store. Caller said the note was addressed to her and read, ?Bind your demons. Here are free headphones! Medicate the all night cleaning ? you are not well.? Officers reviewed store?s security footage, and didn?t see any suspicious activity. Officers told subject to advise them if anything else occurs.

Steve Scotton was arrested for attempting to steal alcohol from Fairfield Hy-Vee Food and Drug Store. He was charged with an aggravated misdemeanor, as he had several prior arrests for theft on file.
