Fairfield Police Department reports the following logged at Dispatch:
Friday
8:20 a.m. - A verbal warning was issued at Burlington and Ninth for a traffic violation.
8:39 a.m. - A verbal warning was issued at Fourth and Stone for a traffic violation.
9:06 a.m. - A funeral escort was requested at St. Mary Catholic Church.
9:30 a.m. - A verbal warning was issued in the 3000 block of West Burlington.
9:47 a.m. - A verbal warning was issued at Seventh and Jackson for a 'slow and go” at Seventh and Jefferson.
10:14 a.m. - A verbal warning was issued at Sixth and Madison for a traffic violation.
10:16 a.m. - A municipal infractions citation was issued at Sixth and Fillmore to Tyler N. Enlow, 19, for speeding 35 mph in a 25 mph speed zone.
10:50 a.m. - Police investigated burglary/breaking and entering in the 400 block of West Adams.
1:57 p.m. - Police investigated theft in the 2700 block of West Burlington.
2:57 p.m. - A traffic accident was reported in the 1300 block of West Burlington.
3:11 p.m. - Police assisted with an object in the road between the 3000 block of West Burlington and Brookville Road.
3:31 p.m. - Police investigated drugs-equipment violation in the 900 block of North 10th. At 3:35 p.m., Cory Willard Hervey, 43, of Fairfield, was arrested and charged with possession of drug paraphernalia.
5:10 p.m. - An arrest on a warrant was made at Jefferson County Law Center.
6:27 p.m. - Larceny theft was reported in the 800 block of South Third.
7:10 p.m. - A verbal warning was issued at Grimes and Main for an obstructed vehicle plate.
7:32 p.m. - Suspicious activity was reported in the 3300 block of West Jackson.
8:06 p.m. - A verbal warning was issued at Stone and Ninth for no plate on a vehicle. The subject had the proper paperwork.
8:55 a.m. - Suspicious activity was reported in the 900 block of South Sixth.
9:57 p.m. - Suspicious activity was reported in the 600 block of West Broadway.
10:49 p.m. - A citation was issued at Fourth and Burlington for driving while suspended and expired registration.
Saturday
12:46 a.m. - Police assisted the Van Buren County Sheriff's Office.
12:54 a.m. - Suspicious activity was reported in the 300 block of South 12th.
1:59 a.m. - A verbal warning was issued at Briggs and Court for a broken brake light and no registration tag.
9:01 a.m. - A verbal warning was issued at Court and Washington for a traffic violation.
10:08 a.m. - An alarm was reported in the 100 block of Iowa Avenue.
10:19 a.m. - Police investigated theft from a motor vehicle at Court and Burlington.
10:48 a.m. - A verbal warning was issued at Main and Madison for a taillight.
11:03 a.m. - A verbal warning was issued at Court and Briggs for a traffic violation.
11:22 a.m. - A verbal warning was issued at 22nd and Burlington for a traffic violation.
11:26 a.m. - A municipal infractions citation was issued at Seventh and Jackson to Vincente Sican-Soloman, 71, for no valid driver's license.
11:44 a.m. -- Police assisted the Jefferson County Sheriff's Office. Trespass was reported in the 200 block of West Palm.
12:46 p.m. -- A municipal infractions citation was issued at Walton and Pleasant Plain roads to Michael Ennen, 20, for speeding 40 mph in a 25 mph zone.
12:56 p.m. -- A caller reported his car on fire on Forest Drive.
1:23 p.m. -- Extra patrol was requested in the 2300 block of West Jackson.
1:25 p.m. -- Police investigated simple assault in the 300 block of South 14th. At 2:06 p.m., Steven Mark Scotton, 56, of Fairfield, was arrested and charged with simple assault.
3:52 p.m. -- Police kept the peace in the 600 block of West Adams.
