Vehicle accidents

Aug. 6 - 5:09 p.m., a vehicle was backed into by another vehicle in the 300 block of North Marion, Washington.

Aug. 6 - 6:48 p.m., a vehicle struck a deer in the 1600 block of 250th Street, Washington.

Aug. 7 - 5:33 a.m., a moped accident was reported in the 2600 block of 220th Street, Washington.

Aug. 8 - 8:35 a.m., a vehicle was struck in a parking lot in the 3100 block of Highway 22, Riverside.

Aug. 8 - 6:25 p.m., a vehicle struck a deer on Dogwood Avenue near 120th Street, Wellman.

Arrests

Aug. 6 - 6:05 p.m., Tasha Lee Knerr, 29, of the 700 block of East Washington Street, was arrested in the 800 block of East Madison Street, Washington, for trespassing.

Aug. 6 - 12:33 p.m., Jessy Lee Armstrong, 26, was arrested at Farmer Street and Madison Street in Brighton for driving under suspension, failure to use signal and possession of controlled substance.

Aug. 6 - 3:43 p.m., Kevin Mart Stoos, 33, of the 100 block of East Second Street, Riverside, was arrested at his home on a warrant for probation violation on criminal mischief-third offense.

Aug. 6 - 8:19 p.m., Moshe Ariel Benson, 23, of the 1500 block of West 11th Street, Waterloo, was arrested in the 500 block of Monroe Street, Ainsworth on a warrant for failure to appear for probation revocation hearing.

Aug. 6 - 10:24 p.m., Maurice Jones, 51, of 100 block First Street, Coralville, was arrested in the 1500 block of Highway 1, Washington, and charged with operating while intoxicated-second offense and open container.

Aug. 8 - 8 a.m., Kayln Renee Bechtel, 25, of the 100 block of Agency Street, Batavia, was arrested in the 800 block of North 10th Street, Fairfield and charged with possession of a controlled substance (methamphetamine) and possession of drug paraphernalia.

Aug. 8 - 9:40 a.m., Maria Alejandra Becerra, 44, of the 300 block of A Avenue, Kalona, was arrested at her home on a warrant for mittimus on operating while intoxicated.

Aug. 8 - 3:02 p.m., Mariah Shanique Brown, 23, of the 700 block of East Main Street, Washington, was arrested in the 2100 block of Lexington Boulevard, Washington, for assault causing bodily injury or mental illness.

Aug. 8 - 3:38 p.m., Maria Luisa Andrade, 29, of the 400 block of West Third Street, Washington, was arrested in the 2100 block of Lexington Boulevard, Washington, for assault causing bodily injury or mental illness.

Citations

Aug. 8 - 11:53 April Leah Dickerson, 38, of the 900 block of East Adams Street, Washington, was cited for prohibited/destructive act and served a warning for no trespassing on county conservation property.

Aug. 8 - 12:24 p.m., Tommy Ray Hardeman, 28, of the 300 block of Second Street, Coralville, was cited in the 2900 block of 135th Street, Riverside, for no insurance and no driver's license.

Theft

Aug. 8 - 1:18 p.m., shoplifting was reported in the 2400 block of Highway 92, Washington.

Aug. 8 - 1:46 p.m., theft was reported in the 600 block of Tam Street, Ainsworth.

Aug. 8 - 4:19 p.m., theft was reported in the 1000 block of West Madison Street. Washington.

Aug. 8 - 10:01 p.m., theft was reported in the 600 block of E Avenue, Kalona.

Aug. 9 - 5:04 a.m., theft was reported in the 1900 block of 170th Street, Wellman.

Assaults

Aug. 8 - 11:33 a.m., assault was reported in the 200 block of North Iowa Avenue, Washington.

Missing person

Aug. 6 - 3:11 p.m., two juveniles were reported missing in the 1200 block of North Iowa Avenue, Washington. They were located.

Fire

Aug. 6 - 6:40 p.m., a power line was down and the ditch on fire in the 2600 block of 210th Street, Washington.

Aug. 7 - 7:35 a.m., a vehicle fire was reported at Highway 218 and 565th Street Southeast, Riverside.

Aug. 8 - 8:01 p.m., Riverside Fire Department provided water to cool hogs on a broken down semi and trailer in the 1300 block of Highway 218, Riverside.

Aug. 9 - 2:52 a.m., a fire was reported in the 1300 block of South Second Street, Fairfield.
