Tuesday

8:01 a.m. - Police assisted a dangerous driver on Highway 34, eastbound, passing Fir Avenue.

8:26 a.m. - Phone harassment was reported in the 500 block of South E.

10:39 a.m. - A utilities hazard was reported at 28th and Grimes. A power line was down.

11:54 a.m. - Suspicious activity was reported in the 400 block of West Briggs.

1:06 p.m. - A traffic accident was reported at Fourth and Carpenter.

2:13 p.m. - A traffic accident was reported in the 1700 block of West Burlington.

3:51 p.m. - A domestic disturbance was reported in the 200 block of East Buchanan.

4:11 p.m. - A verbal warning was issued at Fifth and Burlington for a passsenger-side brake light outage.

4:14 p.m. - A parking concern was reported in the 300 block of East Burlington.

4:14 p.m. - Larceny theft was reported in the 900 block of West Burlington.

5:47 p.m. - A parking concern was reported at Seventh and Jackson.

6:10 p.m. - A utilities hazard was reported at Walton Lake.

6:37 p.m. - An arrest on a warrant was made at the Jefferson County Law Center.

6:57 p.m. - Disturbing the peace was reported in the 1100 block of West Burlington.

7:19 p.m. - A verbal warning was issued in the 1200 block of West Burlington for a traffic violation.

7:32 p.m. - A verbal warning was issued at Eighth and Madison for a traffic violation.

7:43 p.m. - A juvenile issue was reported in the 50 block of North Court.

7:49 p.m. - A utilities hazard was reported on West Stone.

8:53 p.m. - Police investigated disorderly conduct in the 400 block of North Third.

9:10 p.m. - An animal concern was reported on Highway 1 through the Maharishi University of Management campus.

9:11 p.m. - An animal concern was reported in the 300 block of North 10th.

9:14 p.m. - Police assisted the Fairfield Fire Department in the 2200 block of West Tyler.

Wednesday

7:56 a.m. - A verbal warning was issued at Fourth and Carpenter for a traffic violation.

8:28 a.m. - Police assisted the Jefferson County Sheriff's Office at Third and Burlington.

8:36 a.m. - A civil dispute was reported in the 800 block of West Depot.

9:19 a.m. - Suspicious activity was reported in the 1300 block of West Burlington.

11:25 a.m. - A verbal warning was issued at Fourth and Lowe for a traffic violation.

12:05 p.m. - A verbal warning was issued at Fourth and Stone for a traffic violation.

12:09 p.m. - An alarm was reported in the 800 block of South Park.

12:51 p.m. - Vandalism was reported in the 100 block of North Fourth.

1:55 p.m. - A parking concern was reported in the 2000 block of North Court.

1:57 p.m. - Police assisted the Mt. Pleasant Police Department.

2:42 p.m. - A dump site was reported in the 400 block of North C.

3:31 p.m. - A verbal warning was issued in the 1100 block of West Burlington for a traffic violation.

3:52 p.m. - Vagrancy panhandling was reported in the 2700 block of West Burlington.

4:43 p.m. - Police assisted a motorist eastbound on West Madison from North Fourth.

4:55 p.m. - Police checked on the welfare of a motorist in the 600 block of East Broadway.

4:59 p.m. - Police checked on the welfare of a motorist.

5:22 p.m. - Police checked on a disabled vehicle in the 1700 block of South Main.

6:08 p.m. - Police were asked to check on the welfare of a person in the 500 block of East Adams.

7:33 p.m. - Fairfield and Ottumwa police spoke about a missing person - runaway.

7:40 p.m. - A verbal argument was reported in the 200 block of North 28th.

9:01 p.m. - A traffic accident was reported in the 2500 block of West Burlington.

10 p.m. - A traffic accident was reported in the 700 block of West Kirkwood.

10 p.m. - Police investigated driving under influence in the 700 block of West Kirkwood. At 11:06 p.m., Timothy Michael Simmers-Sharp, 48, of Fairfield, was arrested and charged with operating while intoxicated - first offense.
