Police search for suspect in hit-and-run accident
The Mt. Pleasant Police Department are looking into a hit-and-run accident that occurred over the weekend.
According to police reports, the accident occurred between 7 p.m. on Saturday, Nov. 22 and 7 a.m., Sunday, Nov. 23 in front of lot 33 in the Heritage Trailer Court.

The Mt. Pleasant Police Department are looking into a hit-and-run accident that occurred over the weekend.
According to police reports, the accident occurred between 7 p.m. on Saturday, Nov. 22 and 7 a.m., Sunday, Nov. 23 in front of lot 33 in the Heritage Trailer Court.
According to the victim, their 2007 Chevy Trail Blazer had been parked in front of their trailer, facing west, when it was struck on the passenger side by an unknown vehicle.
The police are still investigating the incident and ask anyone with information to call the police department.
Also, on Nov. 22, at approximately 5:15 p.m., the Mt. Pleasant Police Department responded to a two-vehicle accident at the intersection of Grand Ave. and Mapleleaf Dr.
Police reports state a 2008 Chevy 1500 pickup, owned and operated by Denton Church, of Mt. Pleasant, was heading northbound on Grand Ave. and was stopped for the red light at the intersection of Mapleleaf Dr. That?s when a 2005 Chevy Impala, owned by Kristina Pedro and operated by Codie Carver, also traveling north on Grand Ave. failed to stop in time and struck the pickup.
No injuries were reported at the accident. There was a combined estimated damage of $2,500 and Carver was cited for not having a valid drivers license and failure to stop within the assured cleared distance.
