Police seeking information about smoking device
The investigation into an object thrown through a window Saturday evening is ongoing.
At 7:52 p.m., the Fairfield Police Department responded to the report of a smoking device being thrown through a window at 106 W. Fillmore Ave. The state fire marshal also was called to the scene and determined the object was not an explosive device, according to a report from the police department.

At 7:52 p.m., the Fairfield Police Department responded to the report of a smoking device being thrown through a window at 106 W. Fillmore Ave. The state fire marshal also was called to the scene and determined the object was not an explosive device, according to a report from the police department.
Several items were collected from the scene as part of the ongoing investigation. The police department and fire marshal were assisted by the Fairfield Fire Department, Jefferson County Area Ambulance, Jefferson County Attorney?s Office and Jefferson County Sheriff?s Office.
