There are those who are obsessed with taking health care away from poor women.

Pregnancy and safe abortions are very important health issues for all women. Sending poor women back to the days of back alley butchers is tragic. Lye, bleach and coat hangers were sometimes used to end a pregnancy at great risk to women’s health.

Many ended up with infections and caused some women to die. Forced marriages have also ended up in tragedy. Some females were shamed, and there were parents who even sent young daughters away.

Wealthy women have seldom had to deal with these health problems. They were and are able to travel to places where they receive good health care and safe abortions.
