WASHINGTON — The deadline to preregister for the April 30, 2024 Washington Special City Election to be held in Washington County, is Monday, April 15 at 5 p.m.
Worry-free postmarks for registration forms submitted by mail would be Monday, April 15. Alternatively, any person who is eligible to vote may register in-person on election day by completing a voter registration application, making written oath, and providing proof of both identity and residence. However, registration on or before April 15 is strongly encouraged to avoid delays at the polling place.
Residents of the city of Washington may register at the County Auditor’s Office at the Courthouse in Washington, or any driver’s license station. Online registration is also now available through the Electronic Voter Registration link on our website at washingtoncounty.iowa.gov. The County Auditor’s Office is open weekdays from 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. and 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Monday, April 15 and Friday, April 26.
Anyone having questions should contact the Washington County Auditor’s Office, (319) 653-7717.
