Presentation set for New London on Affordable Care Act

Community Action of Southeast Iowa will give a presentation at 6 p.m. on Thursday, Feb. 20, at the H.J. Nugen Public Library, 103 East Main Street, New London, designed to provide information about the Affordable Care Act, and why it?s important for individuals to enroll in health insurance coverage through the Health Insurance Marketplace at HealthCare.gov.

Those attending will view a 30-minute presentation covering issues such as health insurance requirements for minimum essential coverage; tax penalties; premium assistance, tax credits and cost-sharing subsidies that help reduce your costs; plans and programs available on the Marketplace; health care reforms; and Iowa?s Health and Wellness Plan.
