The public will get a chance to shape the Washington City Council?s comprehensive plan. There will be a session Thursday from 3-8 p.m. at the Washington Public Library where residents can make suggestions to the Comprehensive Planning Committee about upcoming projects in Washington.
Washington City Administrator Brent Hinson said the public will learn about some of the projects the committee has talked about.
?There will probably be design boards and stuff like that for the public to look at,? he said. ?I don?t believe there?s going to be a structured presentation. This is a chance for the public to see what we?ve been discussing.?
The comprehensive planning committee is made up of a cross-section of people in town. There are about 20 members on the committee.
?This is not the final comprehensive plan,? Hinson said. ?This is an input stage. We?ve got some basic concepts worked out. Are we headed in the right direction? Is there anything we?re missing??
