Dec. 13, 2021 12:31 pm
The Fairfield Arbor Committee will present “The Restoration of Lamson Woods State Preserve” on Saturday, Dec. 18 from 3-4 p.m.
Why are oak and hickory saplings absent? Why are several woodland bird species declining? Find out the cause and what the public can do about it.
The event is presented by Cassidy Robinson, District 6 Iowa DNR Forester. It will be held in-person at the Fairfield Public Library or on-line via zoom. For more information, go to www.fairfield.lib.ia.us/events, or call 641-472-6551 ext. 2 to register for zoom link.
[Editor’s note: The meeting time of 3-4 p.m. was revised from an earlier announcement that ran in The Union Dec. 9 which reported that the meeting would be held in the morning.]
