Pumpkin carver
Brandi Scearcy, a member of the Penn Workers 4-H Club, carefully transfers a Halloween pattern by poking holes into her pumpkin. She?ll follow the pattern from hole to hole when she starts carving to end up with a spooky spider. Scearcy and several other members of the 4-H club carved almost two dozen pumpkins Sunday afternoon, then took a hayride to deliver half of the jack-o?-lanterns to Sunnybrook Assisted Living.

When the group returned to the Jefferson County Fairgrounds, they roasted hot dogs and marshmallows.
