Pura Kintanar

Pura Kintanar, 88, of Fairfield died Thursday, Dec. 6, 2012, at Jefferson County Health Center in Fairfield.

A memorial mass is at St. Mary Catholic Church at 6 p.m. Monday with the Rev. Stephen Page officiating. A reception follows in the parish hall.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be sent to 404 S. 33rd St., Fairfield 52556.

Mrs. Kintanar was born March 3, 1924, in the Philippines. She married Wilfredo Kintanar. He preceded her in death.

She grew up in the Philippines before migrating to the United States, and has lived in Fairfield for 26 years.

Survivors include seven children, Dr. Eloisa Bongcayao and spouse Francisco Kintanar of Washington, D.C., Sofia Pasion and husband Tony of London, Teresa Bacasmas and husband Joel, Hipolito Kintanar and wife Lorna, and Inigo Kintanar of the Philippines, and Vilma Thorn and husband Gene, of Fairfield; 16 grandchildren; and five great-granddaughters.
