Radiance Dairy to host farm tour and tasting Saturday

Radiance Dairy northwest of Fairfield will host a farm tour and tasting event from 3-6:30 p.m. on Saturday, Oct. 21.

“This is an invitation to our community to come tour our farm and try our products during a farmyard mingle,” stated the dairy in a Facebook post about the event.

The farm is owned by Francis and Susan Thicke. It is located at 1745 Brookville Rd., about 3 miles outside Fairfield.

The owners are asking attendees to arrive at 3 p.m. for a tour of their barns - the milking parlor, milk house, creamery, and infrastructure.

“Be prepared for a short walk to the pasture where our herd of almost 100 mamas and calves are grazing,” the Facebook post stated. “Here we'd like to tell you a bit about our cows and our regenerative grazing and cropping practices. While the herd is getting milked, we will have refreshments and a local charcuterie display for everyone’s tasting pleasures.”

The owners are asking those interested to RSVP to the event on Facebook so they can plan accordingly.
