Railroad crossing in Columbus Junction closed due to accident
On Friday, July 5, at about 8 a.m., the Louisa County Sheriff's office announced on their Facebook page the railroad crossings at Second Street, north of Locust Street, at Highway 70, north of Dollar General in Columbus Junction, were blocked due to an accident involving a train and a semi. No injuries were reported and drivers were asked to avoid the area.
