Rain says no to Thursday games

Henry County had a full slate of baseball and softball games set for Thursday night but some afternoon and evening rain decided to give the Panthers, Tigers and Wolves a day off.

Henry County had a full slate of baseball and softball games set for Thursday night but some afternoon and evening rain decided to give the Panthers, Tigers and Wolves a day off.
The three schools all had conference matchups postponed. Mt. Pleasant would have played its first SEC doubleheader of the second half at Keokuk. New London was set to host Central Lee in SEISC South Division play. W-MU was off to Packwood for a SEISC North Division matchup with Pekin.
Both Mt. Pleasant teams will be in action this weekend. The softball team takes on Ottumwa in a doubleheader tonight (Friday) at 5:30 p.m. The boys will be at the Williamsburg tournament on Saturday, June 16 at 10 a.m.
New London will be right back at home for a couple of SIESC cross-over games with Wapello. The Tigers will play both baseball and softball with the Indians and Arrows. Both games begin at 7 p.m. The softball team will also be in tournament action on Saturday, June 16, when they take on West Liberty.
W-MU will take on Holy Trinity in a SEISC cross-over baseball game tonight (Friday) in Ft. Madison. That game will begin at 7h p.m.
The W-MU softball team has the longest break of the six teams. They won?t play another game until Monday, June 18, when they host Wapello at 7 p.m.
