Randall ?Randy? Wayne Calhoun, 58, of Mt. Pleasant, died Wednesday, June 10, 2015, at Mercy Hospital, Cedar Rapids.
A visitation will be held from 1 to 7 p.m., on Sunday, June 14, 2015, at the Olson-Powell Memorial Chapel where the family will receive friends from 2 to 5 p.m., that afternoon. Randall ?Randy? Wayne Calhoun, 58, of Mt. Pleasant, died Wednesday, June 10, 2015, at Mercy Hospital, Cedar Rapids.
A visitation will be held from 1 to 7 p.m., on Sunday, June 14, 2015, at the Olson-Powell Memorial Chapel where the family will receive friends from 2 to 5 p.m., that afternoon. Calhoun was born Sept. 4, 1956, the son of Edman Wayne and Neoma (Herbert) Calhoun. He graduated from Mt. Pleasant Community High School. On May 19, 1979, he married Joan Marie Thompson in Mt. Pleasant. They later divorced. Together they had three children. Calhoun had served in the Iowa National Guard.
Calhoun began his career working construction. He was later employed as a correctional officer at the Mt. Pleasant Correctional Facility. Most recently, he owned and operated RWC Trucking.
Calhoun enjoyed riding his motorcycle and doing mechanical work. Most of all, Calhoun enjoyed spending time with his children.
Calhoun is survived by two sons, Clinton (Shelby) Calhoun, of Mt. Pleasant; and Scott (Kelly) Calhoun, of Mt. Pleasant; one daughter, Ann (Brandon Mann) Calhoun, of Prairie du Sac, Wisc.; two grandchildren; and two brothers, Denny (Syd) Calhound, of Summerville, Mo.; and Ronald (Connie) Calhoun, of Raymondville, Mo.
He was preceded in death by his parents, and his brother, Eddy Dean Calhoun.
