Raymond ?Keith? Smith, 89, of Mt. Pleasant passed away on Tuesday, March 17, 2015, at Arbor Court in Mt. Pleasant with his grand-daughter Machelle at his side.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, March 21, 2015, at the Murphy Funeral Home of Mt. Pleasant with Pastor Jim Luder officiating. Burial will be held in the Forest Home Cemetery in Mt. Pleasant. The family will receive friends on Saturday from noon until service time at the funeral home. Memorials may be directed to the Activity Fund of Arbor Court or to the HCI Care Services of Mt. Pleasant.

Keith was born on May 1, 1925, in Henry County the son of Leo George and Vera Hallowell Smith. He was united marriage to Winifred Watts on October 6, 1966; she preceded him in death on February 26, 1982. He farmed his entire life and had worked at Heatilator, Cargill Seed and Metromail all of Mt. Pleasant. Keith enjoyed feeding his farm pond fish. Keith and his wife enjoyed square dancing and he was an avid Cubs fan. He was a member of the First United Methodist Church of Mt. Pleasant.

He is survived by his two stepsons: Lyle (Peg) Watts and Roger (Rhonda) Watts both of Cedar Rapids, 11 grandchildren, 15 great-grandchildren, his sister: Betty English of Hayward, California, one nephew: Larry (Connie) English of Hayward, California, one niece: Deanna English of Grangeville, Idaho.

Keith was preceded in death by his parents, his wife, one stepson, Michael Watts, one sister, Jean Riley.
