Monday, May 26, Memorial Day was observed and flags were placed on the courthouse lawn to remember veterans. A special event was held at the Mt. Pleasant Community High School at 10:30 a.m. Monday, and flags were presented during the ceremony. After the ceremony, people filed outside of the high school to hear taps, which was played by Mt. Pleasant High School band students, Levi Boston-Kemple and Ben Rauenbuehler...

Monday, May 26, Memorial Day was observed and flags were placed on the courthouse lawn to remember veterans. A special event was held at the Mt. Pleasant Community High School at 10:30 a.m. Monday, and flags were presented during the ceremony. After the ceremony, people filed outside of the high school to hear taps, which was played by Mt. Pleasant High School band students, Levi Boston-Kemple and Ben Rauenbuehler, and watch as three volleys were fired in salute to fallen heroes.
