The Fairfield Farmers Market will host a “repair fair” at the next two farmers markets in Howard Park, on Saturday, July 16, and Saturday, July 23, from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. both days.
The events are being put on by the Southeast Iowa Sierra Club. According to the organization’s website, the purpose of the repair fair is to “promote repair and the circular economy versus landfill use. Bring your broken devices and appliances. Experts will help fix them and give advice on maintaining them. Faulty toasters, flaky printers, and troublesome mobile devices are welcome.”
For more information about this event, contact organizer Margaret Dwyer at mdwyerhome@lisco.com and at 641-472-7561.
Residents are encouraged to bring small appliances and other household items that need fixing to the Fairfield Farmers Market Saturday, July 16 and Saturday, July 23, from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. in Howard Park. (Photo submitted)
