The commission and the E911 Board heard a report on the options for a new communications center. John Mahon is an architect with an engineering firm from Moline, Ill., and he gave the attendees information about four possible solutions. One possibility is to leave the communications center where it is but to remodel the interior. An alternative is to move the communications equipment next door to the former county jail. The third option is to move the center to the former library, and the fourth idea is to build a new home for the center at Orchard Hill.
