Richard M. Van Weelden, 85, of Surprise, Ariz., formerly of Selma, died Tuesday, June 15, 2010, at Sun City West, Ariz.
A graveside service and burial of cremains will be at 10:30 a.m. Saturday at Mount Moriah Cemetery north of Douds, with the Rev. Ann Donat officiating.
Arrangements are in the care of Pedrick Funeral Home in Keosauqua.

Mr. Van Weelden was born March 17, 1925, in Albia, the son of Dick and Hazel Gibson Van Weelden. He married Virginia Findlay July 17, 1946, in Batavia.
