Richland woman charged with fraud

A Richland woman has been charged with fraud in relation to a pair of incidents that occurred more than a year ago.

Renee Hill, 45, is accused of issuing a false certificate of insurance to a customer, knowing that the certificate contained false information. That accusation stems from an incident alleged to have occurred Dec. 16, 2016. Approximately a year later on Dec. 7, 2017, the state alleges that Hill presented a written document in support of a claim knowing the document contained false information. The charges against her are fraudulent practice in the first degree, and insurance fraud – presenting false information.

Hill was arrested April 22 and held on a $10,000 bond, which she posted. Her arraignment has been set for May 13.
