Riverboat Foundation seeks new board member

Washington County Riverboat Foundation (WCRF) is taking applications to fill one director’s position. The director term will begin January 2025 and end January 2028. The application is online at washingtoncountyriverboatfoundation.org.

The board will accept applications from anyone who lives or works in Washington County. However, WCRF’s main emphasis on director openings this year will be from rural Washington and West Chester. WCRF would also note that directors represent the entire Washington County area.

Eligible persons should also be aware that they will be required to undergo an extensive background check by the Iowa Division of Criminal Investigation and be required to attend meetings at different locations around the county. Both meeting time and travel is uncompensated, as this a volunteer position.

The deadline for submitting applications is Sept. 17, 2024.
