According to a report from the Minnesota State Patrol, Gabe Graham, 8, of Riverside, was pronounced dead after a four-vehicle accident in Steele County, Minn. Three other people in the vehicle with him received what the state patrol is referring to as ?minor injuries.?
According to the report, the incident occurred at 11 a.m. Friday on Highway 14 and County Road 17 in Steele County. A 2004 Dodge Stratus driven by Irma B. Hacmac of Owatonna, Minn., was traveling westbound on Highway 14 and had stopped to make a turn. The report says a Pontiac Vibe driven by Brittany Rogers of Winona, Minn., was also traveling westbound and had slowed down. A 1995 Ford Straight TR driven by Alex Routh of Hartland, Minn., reportedly ran into the two vehicles and swerved into the eastbound lanes of traffic, sideswiping a 2003 Ford Escape driven by Michael Frantz of Coralville, with passengers Andrea Frantz, Cole Frantz and Graham, all of Riverside. None of the other people involved in the accident were reported to have been injured.
According to the report, Routh had no alcohol present in his system. Graham had been wearing a seatbelt at the time of the accident.
