Riverside collision totals two vehicles

A T-Bone collision at an intersection in Riverside totaled two pickup trucks near Highway 22 Tuesday night.

“Vehicle 1 was eastbound on State Hwy 22 at or near the intersection of State Hwy 22 & Vine Ave/County Road W64,” a preliminary accident report from Washington County Communications said. “Vehicle 2 was southbound on Vine Ave/County Road W64, stopped at the stop sign. Vehicle 2 proceeded from the stop sign entering the intersection where vehicle 1 collided with vehicle 2.”

A juvenile driver from Riverside was cited for failing to yield to the other driver, a man from Lone Tree, according to the report.

While the report said the crash caused two injuries, all parties involved were transported by private vehicles to unknown locations afterward.
