Road patching to begin on 220th Street

WASHINGTON COUNTY – On Tuesday, Sept. 3, 2019 a roadway patching project will begin on 220th Street (G36).

This project will require the closure of 220th Street from Hwy 1 and 92 east to the 12th Street (Riverside Road) intersection. The project is expected to last one to two weeks while Washington County road crews complete the work on this project.

While 220th Street is under construction, the road will be closed to through traffic. Traffic will be detoured around the project using 12th Street and Hwy 92 through Washington and north to the Highway 1/92/G36 intersection.

The public is reminded to use the posted detour and use caution while traveling the detour route. In addition, drivers should allow additional time to reach their destination as a result of traveling through Washington. The work for this project will involve concrete patching of the road surface.
