SUN CITY, Arizona ? Robert G. Hilbrant, 72, formerly of Muscatine, passed away on Wednesday, February 11, 2015, at home in Sun City, Arizona.
Dr. Reverend Marc Royer and Pastor Mitch Royer will officiate. Memorials may be made to the Hospice of the Valley ? Palm Valley PCU.
Robert was born on May 14, 1942, in Mount Pleasant, the son of Ralph Frederick and Madia Laverna Widmer Hilbrant. He married Glenna J. Spraker on September 23, 1961, in Mount Pleasant.
He worked at GPC before retiring in 2000.
Robert was a veteran of the United States Marine Corps and a member of the American Legion. He enjoyed bowling and playing golf.
Those left to honor his memory include one son, Randy Hilbrant and his wife Jody, of Lake in the Hills, Illinois; one daughter, Debra J. Hill and her husband David, of Peoria, Arizona; four grandchildren, Eric Hill of Morenci, Arizona, Abby Hill of Tucson, Arizona, Taylor Hilbrant of Minneapolis, Minnesota, and Raegan Hilbrant of Lake of the Hills, Illinois; one twin brother, Richard Hilbrant and his wife Helen, of Muscatine; one sister, Twyla Royer of West Burlington; five nephews and one niece.
He is preceded in death by his parents and his wife Glenna, in 2004.
