Sale indicates community could sustain Habitat?s ReStore shop
The Greater Fairfield Area Habitat for Humanity brought in a little more than $1,400 during its first pre-ReStore sale over the weekend.
?It was very well attended,? said ReStore committee chairwoman Coralie Brook. ?We got good donations, so it?s very encouraging that this community can sustain a ReStore.?
A second pre-ReStore sale is planned for Dec. 3 and 4. Donations are being accepted from noon to 6 p.m.

Wednesdays and from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturdays at the ReStore?s temporary location, 903 W. Broadway Ave.
Brook said the store had a steady stream of customers, who were able to find items they otherwise might not have been able to afford.
?It was a good mix of things that people were buying,? she said. Building materials, appliances, furniture and paint were all selling.
Brook said the organization is currently seeking a permanent location for the ReStore and hopes to expand its hours once established.
