Salem driver ticketed following accident
A two-vehicle accident Dec. 15 in Mt. Pleasant resulted in charges filed against a Salem driver.
Lloyd Bank, Salem, was ticketed for unsafe backing following the accident in the 100 block of S. Main St.
According to the accident report from the Mt. Pleasant police department, a 2013 Ford SUV, owned and operated by Bank, was in a parking spot on the east side of the street and backing into the street.

A two-vehicle accident Dec. 15 in Mt. Pleasant resulted in charges filed against a Salem driver.
Lloyd Bank, Salem, was ticketed for unsafe backing following the accident in the 100 block of S. Main St.
According to the accident report from the Mt. Pleasant police department, a 2013 Ford SUV, owned and operated by Bank, was in a parking spot on the east side of the street and backing into the street.
Meanwhile, a 2009 Ford, owned and operated by Uda Kensatt, West Point, was traveling north on Main Street and had the right-of-way.
Bank continued to back out and struck Kensatt?s vehicle as it was passing. There were no injuries. Damage to the Bank vehicle was estimated at $500, while the Kensatt vehicle sustained $3,000 in damage.
