Sanitary sewer testing to begin today
Another round of sanitary sewer smoke testing is scheduled to begin today (Wednesday) in Mt. Pleasant, weather permitting.
Testing will be performed from Winfield Avenue to Broad Street and to Palm Avenue.
Smoke created is non-toxic, harmless, odorless and creates no fire hazard.
The smoke is blown into the sewer lines via sanitary manholes to help locate sewer line defects and will not enter a building ...

Testing will be performed from Winfield Avenue to Broad Street and to Palm Avenue.

The smoke is blown into the sewer lines via sanitary manholes to help locate sewer line defects and will not enter a building unless there is defective plumbing or dried updrain traps.
Work will take place from 7 a.m.-4 p.m.
