Santa prepares to come to Mt. Pleasant

He's made his list but hasn't checked it twice- at least not yet. Santa was in Mt. Pleasant over the weekend, scoping out the area, and made some time to talk to The News about the big day coming up.

For those wondering if he's gotten their list, the answer is a resounding yes. The jolly ole fella said he's received millions of lists and has given them out to the elves to begin working on toys to be delivered.

'They start right after Christmas; they start in making the toys for next year so they can have an inventory built up for the next year,” he said.

The reindeer have been hard at work, too. Santa said he's had them out for test runs and they are getting prepared to deliver toys in a couple of weeks. He said he's looking forward to the delivery, also, and can't wait to try all the cookies left out for him.

Although you don't have to worry about trying anything new, because Santa is a traditionalist when it comes to cookies. He says his favorites are 'the ones you left me last year,” but he's not picky and will take cookies of any kind.

As Santa prepares for Christmas Day, he would like to remind all little boys and girls they have some preparation to do, too.

'Make sure your room is clean,” he said. 'If you don't have your old toys picked up, you won't have room for new toys.”
