The Henry County Fair provides one special day filled with all kinds of activities specifically for the youngest fairgoers: Kids Day.
Thanks to sponsorships from Two Rivers Bank & Trust, HJ Nugen Public Library, and the Mt. Pleasant Public Library Kids Day from noon-4 p.m. Saturday, June 20 will offer new and returning activities for free.
Popular activities like Windy Acres pony rides, Face Paint by Brandi, Cookie Decorating by Nana Pam’s, and splash ball by HJ Nugen Public Library will return this year.
Additionally, many organizations will provide educational and interactive stations for kids to visit. Healthy Henry County will once again bring healthy snacks to Kids Day. Great River Health and Fitness will offer an obstacle course for kids to learn about staying active, and Henry County Conservation and The Domestic Violence Intervention Program also will set up stations.
HJ Nugen and Mt. Pleasant public libraries sponsored a new exciting activity this year: a foam cannon by Absolute Science. This will provide plenty of laughs and help cool kids down during the warm summer afternoon.
Other additions this year include Balloontastic Tracy making balloon animals and Anderson Ranch Minis bringing mini cows and donkeys to Kids Day.
