Scam caller claims to be with US Marshall’s Office

A caller claiming to be from the U.S. Marshall's Office is a scam, the Henry County Sheriff's Office said.
A Henry County resident received a call from a person claming to be from the U.S. Marshall's Office on Tuesday, Feb. 26. The caller claimed that the Henry County resident was a victim of identity theft and tried to get the resident to release personal information. The caller claimed they were trying to help the resident get a new Social Security number.
The Henry County Sheriff's Office asks that residents be aware there are multiple types of scam calls being received by residents and that they do not release any personal information.
