A semi struck a deer Saturday afternoon on U.S. Highway 218/27, resulting in approximately $100 in damage.

A semi struck a deer Saturday afternoon on U.S. Highway 218/27, resulting in approximately $100 in damage.
The Henry County Sheriff?s Office was notified of the accident at about 4:10 p.m., June 9.
During the investigation it was found that a 2012 International, owned by SAIA Motor Freight Line LLC of Houma La., was northbound on U.S. Highway 218/27, near mile marker 38, when it struck a deer that ran into the road.
Daniel Allen Giesle, 44, of Muscatine was operating the truck at the time of the incident.
No injuries were reported at the scene.
