Senior health fair to be held

Great River Health Systems will offer free screenings and health assessments during the Southeast Iowa Area Agency on Aging Senior Health Fair.

It is scheduled from 8:30 to 11:30 a.m. Friday, Oct. 19, at Memorial Auditorium, 200 N. Front St., Burlington.

The free screenings are: balance; blood pressure; body-fat composition; bone density; depression; diabetes foot screening; ear canal checks; fall risk; grip strength; hearing aid checks; stroke risk; urinary incontinence.

Many other Great River Health Systems services and clinics will be featured at the fair,.

More than 70 local organizations that provide health-related services for seniors participate in the annual fair. People who are 60 years or older, and those who care for seniors are encouraged to participate.
