Senior Spotlight: Averie Senn
Apr. 25, 2024 12:00 am
Averie Kendall Renee Senn joined her siblings on July 22, 2005. They included Logan Hand, Sabrina Senn, and Dakota Senn. The daughter of Stacie McElhinney and William Senn, she was also welcomed by her grandparents: Larry and Maggie McElhinney and Ellen and Dave Bloomberg.
Averie has been with the New London Class of 2024 sine ninth grade. In those years, she has been busy. She has participated in Cheer, clock work, plays and musicals, and was part of the crew for the “Little Mermaid” and “Goosebumps.” It is not surprising that her interests are art and theatre.
The honors she has received are Cheer Captain, a four-year State Speech qualifier, and she was chosen to contribute her art skills in the painting of the Tiger mural outside the library.
Her special memory is being in the classes of Mrs. Campbell and Mrs. Steffensmeier her junior year. Averie’s most embarrassing moment was wearing a wig in her first play.
When asked what is special about her class, she said, “Most of us are actually nice.” Her wise advice to the underclassmen is “skipping isn’t worth it!”
She picked her mom as her special person because her mom has supported her and loved her for her whole life.
Averie is looking forward to prom and graduation, which are fast approaching. Her future plans are to work toward a secondary education degree starting at SCC.
Tiger Nation wishes her every success as she starts her next new adventure!
