Dana Shappell and Brian Schmitt announce their engagement and upcoming marriage on June 20, 2015.
Parents of the couple are Paulette and the late Marion Shappell, Mt. Pleasant; and Dennis and Glenda Schmitt, of St. Lucas.
The bride-elect is a 2007 graduate of Mt. Pleasant High School, a 2011 graduate of the University of Northern Iowa, and is completing her bachelor of science in nursing at Allen College. She is currently employed at Bartel?s Lutheran Retirement Community in Waverly.
The bridegroom-elect is a 2004 graduate of Turkey Valley High School and a 2008 graduate of Wartburg College. He is currently finishing his master?s degree through Morningside College as a professional educator. He is employed at Turkey Valley Schools in Jackson Junction as a physical education teacher and activities director.
The couple will reside in New Hampton.
